Terms of service.

TL;DR Use PhazeVox to transform your own voice. Don't use it to impersonate, defraud, or harass anyone. Studio subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancelled anytime.

1. Acceptance

By installing or using the PhazeVox desktop application (the “App”) or the website at phazevox.com (together with the App, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App for personal or commercial purposes. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or modify the App except as expressly permitted.

3. Accounts

To access subscription features you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@phazevox.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions

4.1 Billing

Studio subscriptions are billed in advance — monthly or annually — through PayPal. Prices are listed on the Pricing page and may change with notice. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.

4.2 Free trial

New annual Studio subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged. The free trial is not available on monthly subscriptions.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel a Studio subscription at any time from the in-app Settings → Account screen or by emailing support@phazevox.com. Your premium access will continue until the end of the current billing period.

4.4 Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to use PhazeVox to:

  • Impersonate another real person in a way that is deceptive, harassing, defamatory, or unlawful.
  • Generate audio for fraud, social engineering, or to bypass identity verification.
  • Harass, threaten, or harm others.
  • Generate content that sexualizes minors or violates other laws prohibiting harmful content.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, models, or assets from the App, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
  • Resell, redistribute, or rehost premium voices or other Studio content.
  • Attempt to circumvent license enforcement, subscription gating, or download protections.
  • Interfere with or disrupt our infrastructure (e.g., excessive automated requests).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and we may report unlawful activity to the appropriate authorities.

6. Intellectual property

PhazeVox, including the App, the website, the underlying source code, voice models, cover art, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors. Audio output you generate from your own input belongs to you, subject to applicable third-party rights (e.g., copyright in any underlying speech or music you processed).

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers including PayPal, Supabase, and Cloudflare. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms.

8. Updates and changes

We may release updates to the App, change the premium voice catalog, or modify Service features at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be announced in-app or by email and take effect when posted.

9. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY], [STATE], and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
