The short version
- Cancel anytime. Stop your Studio subscription from in-app Settings → Account, or by emailing us. Your access stays active until the end of the current billing period.
- Annual: 14-day refund window. If you cancel an annual subscription within 14 days of being charged, we'll refund the charge in full.
- Monthly: no refunds, but no lock-in. Monthly subscriptions aren't refundable, but you can cancel at any time — you keep access through the end of the month you've already paid for.
- Free trial: cancel any time before it ends. If you cancel a 7-day annual trial before it converts, you pay nothing.
How to cancel
You have three options:
- Open the PhazeVox desktop app, go to Settings → Account, and click "Cancel subscription."
- Log in to your PayPal account, go to Settings → Payments → Automatic payments, and cancel "PhazeVox Studio."
- Email support@phazevox.com from the email address on your account and we'll process the cancellation for you within 1 business day.
Once cancelled, your subscription will not renew. Premium voices remain available to you until the end of the period you've already paid for; after that, premium-only voices in the library will revert to a locked state and prompt you to re-subscribe.
Refund eligibility
Annual subscriptions
If you cancel an annual Studio subscription within 14 days of the first charge, we'll issue a full refund. This refund window does not apply to subscription renewals after the first year — you remain responsible for cancelling before the renewal date if you don't want to continue.
Monthly subscriptions
Monthly Studio subscriptions are not refundable. You can cancel at any time and keep access through the end of the billing month you've already paid for.
Free trials
The 7-day free trial on annual subscriptions costs nothing as long as you cancel before the trial period ends. If the trial converts into a paid subscription and you cancel within 14 days of the first charge, you're eligible for a full refund under the annual policy above.
Exceptions
We may decline a refund request if we determine, in our reasonable judgment, that the account has been used to violate our Terms of Service — for example, abusive impersonation, fraud, or systematic circumvention of subscription gating.
We may also issue refunds outside this policy on a case-by-case basis, at our discretion, when there's a clear billing error or a serious service disruption that prevented you from using PhazeVox.
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are issued back to the original PayPal payment method. Refunds typically appear within 3–5 business days, depending on your bank.
Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please email support@phazevox.com before opening a PayPal dispute — most billing issues can be resolved within a day. Opening a dispute or chargeback may result in temporary suspension of your account until the dispute is resolved.
